The company is looking for a junior engineer or project coordinator to support the management of demolition, deconstruction, and site remediation projects. The successful candidate will play a key role between the job site, field teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure projects run smoothly, in compliance with environmental, health and safety, and scheduling standards. This position is ideal for a field-oriented profile looking to grow into a full project management role in demolition.

Job Description

Location: Job sites – Montreal area
Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the senior project manager in planning and executing demolition projects.
  • Help coordinate field teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Monitor job sites: demolition, material sorting, transport, waste management.
  • Verify compliance with environmental standards (asbestos, lead, PAHs, contaminated soil).
  • Assist with cost, schedule, and resource management.
  • Conduct field inspections and health & safety follow-ups.
  • Write daily reports, end-of-project reports, and technical follow-ups.
  • Communicate with clients, municipalities, and professionals (engineers, firms, laboratories).
  • Support technical and operational issues on-site as they arise.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, or related field.
  • Engineer-in-training (CPI) status or eligible for OIQ membership (an asset).
  • 0 to 3 years of experience (internship accepted; job site experience is a strong asset).
  • Strong interest in project management and fieldwork.
  • Good understanding of construction/demolition sites.
  • Valid driver’s license.
